WHO WE ARE

Since 1958, H.E. Armstrong Mechanical Ltd. has proudly served the communities of Greenwood, Kingston, and the greater Annapolis Valley with dependable plumbing and HVAC services. Founded by H.E. Armstrong in the humble setting of his garage on Central Avenue in Greenwood, the company has grown steadily over three generations—yet still calls that same stretch of road home.

 

With the steadfast support of his wife Clara, H.E. built a reputation for honesty, quality craftsmanship, and customer-first service. As the business flourished, his sons Warren and Watson joined the team, expanding our reach and capabilities. Their vision helped shape the company’s evolution—acquiring Valley Burner Service, stepping into commercial HVAC projects, and establishing the H.E. Armstrong Mechanical Metal Shop.

 

Today, as a third-generation family-owned business, we remain deeply rooted in tradition while embracing innovation. We continue to offer a wide range of plumbing, heating, and HVAC services to clients throughout the Annapolis Valley, and beyond.

 

As part of our continued growth, we’re proud to announce the rebranding of Valley Burner Service to VBS Energy—a modern evolution of our legacy. While we still provide the trusted services our customers know and expect, VBS Energy also introduces new energy solutions designed for today’s world.

 

Through it all, our mission stays the same: to deliver reliable service, honest work, and peace of mind—just like H.E. and Clara did, back in 1958.
